Proudly working in partnership with St Mary's CE Infant School
The Batt is a Church of England school for children aged 4 to 11 and part of the Oxford Diocesan School's Trust (ODST). Our uncompromising aim is to ensure provision of a curriculum that is rich and inspiring which promotes children to think deeply, accept challenge and develop the skills to persevere, ensuring they achieve in all areas of the curriculum and are prepared for the changing needs of learners in tomorrow’s world.
We are also commited to developing children's personal growth and character through values education, grounded in our Christian vision - 'Love everyone, Love the adventure of learning' and our values of friendship, repect and perseverance. Whatever their starting point, we have high expectations for all children and want them to flourish in all areas of their life - educationally, personally, spritually and in their health and wellbeing.
All staff at our school have strong commitments to the development of the ‘whole child’. From their safety and wellbeing, manners and personal presentation to their individual progress in all areas of our curriculum, we work in partnership with parents to share and support your child’s learning journey and continue to learn and develop ourselves as professionals.
We are very excited that our historic partnership with St Mary's CE Infant School has recently entered a new phase and that our youngest learners from both schools now benefit from the wonderful early learning environment provided by St Mary's; with Reception and Year 1 classes from both schools being sited together on Church Green and Year 2 onwards attending The Batt School site. You can find our more about this partnership here.
