Class 4D

Welcome to 4D!

In 4D we enjoy learning! We love to challenge ourselves and understand that in order to succeed it is important to persevere and try our best. Nothing is impossible!

In the mornings we will be developing our English and Mathematic skills. In English, we will be looking at Horrid Henry stories, poems and reports. As well as learning about grammar, punctuation and spelling. In maths we will be deepening their understanding of place value and exploring addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

In our topic this term we will be learning all about the lives and events of the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. In Design and Technology we will be designing, making and evaluating our own juggling balls, which will involve learning skills like tie-dying and sewing!

In science we are currently investigating electricity. We have had fun investigating how circuits work and have also learned about the dangers of electricity. 4D are looking forward to taking part in lots of fun experiments throughout the year.

 In PE this term we will be practicing our football skills, improving our fitness and developing our dance skills,

We have lots of exciting opportunities to look forward to this year. We have already been to the church to learn about the Witney feast and will soon be experiencing a hands on history day, learning all about the Anglo-Saxons and Viking.

I am in the process of setting up a Homeroom page so a letter should be coming home shortly. We will be posting some of what we have been learning and doing on the ‘Homeroom’ site, please be sure to take a look to see what we have been up to!
