Collective Worship

Collective Worship
Ours is a Church of England Aided Primary School, which means that the church and the Christian faith have a high profile in the life of the school.

Collective Acts of Worship are held every day, either for all children together, or for Key Stage 1 & 2 children separately. They are based on monthly values such as Hope, Compassion, Forgiveness and Generosity. Moral and social issues are also raised in Collective Worship and there are opportunities for spiritual reflection. Christian hymns, prayers and periods of quiet thought are regularly included. The Rector or another member of the parish team comes in regularly to take a whole school Collective Worship.

We celebrate Eucharist as part of our Easter Service in St. Mary's Church. We also attend St Mary’s Church for Harvest, Christmas and the Leavers’ Service in July. Parents are welcome to join us on all these occasions.

Parents have the right to withdraw their children from acts of worship and adult supervision will be arranged.
