Finstock Festival Friendlies

On Monday a mixture of our year four, fives and sixes took on Finstock School in games of Netball and Hockey at The Batt School.

First up our year four and fives took on Finstock in a Netball match and for most of the year fours taking part, this was their first competitive match against opposition outside of our own school. Simone provided a fantastic defence and linked up well with Honor who had the tricky centre role to play. Owen managed to score a couple of goals, however, The Batt were just edged out by four goals to three.

A mix of all three year groups then took on Finstock at hockey and both Tyla and Joe from year four impressed with their control before Finstock snuck in a couple of early goals. Dylan then produced a few of his trademark mazy runs to score and the game ebbed and flowed with both teams producing some great hockey. The final score was an eight all draw which suited a very even game

The final game saw our fives and sixes take on the stronger of Finstocks teams and some superb shots from long range ensured Finstock dominated the first half.  James did enjoy his goal attack position in the second half, scoring twice, however it was not enough as Finstock eventually ran out 11-4 winners.

Well done to all the teams in what was an enjoyable afternoons sport!
