The BSA is a group of parents and school staff – in fact, everyone with a child at the school is automatically a member! For those who would like to be more involved we have regular meetings and are always delighted to hear from new people.
A large amount of what we do is fundraising to enhance the wonderful opportunities that the school gives our children. Recent investments include the traversing wall in the playground, lots of ipads, and a subscription for the entire school to an online reading club. We have also paid for interactive whiteboards for each class, and each class are given a sum of money each year to spend as the teacher wishes.
Everyone is welcome to join and bring their ideas along, we are always looking for new ideas. Regular fixtures in the school calendar includes fayres, bingo, quiz night and the ever popular Pig Roast, which is our end of term family bash. Among all of this are sponsored events, Christmas cards the children design themselves and social evenings.
In recent times we have focussed on improving the library and the playground equipment, as well as technology across the entire school. Please take the chance to look at these lovely areas.
As well as fundraising we also aim to provide a welcoming, supportive community. We have a facebook page which gives parents the ability to ask questions and find where to go for support etc, find out about BSA events that are coming up, and the regular members are always happy to have a chat in the playground. There are very few situations that someone won’t have come across before!
