I am originally from Somerset, where I grew up on a farm. I graduated from Reading University, with a BA (Hons) QTS in music, and have been teaching for 25 years. Having first taught in Reading, for a number of years, I then taught in a private boarding school and later moved to work in Oxfordshire where I have taught in two different schools before The Batt.
I love teaching the Year 6 Red Kite class and being the Upper School Phase Leader. I always tell my class that ‘their best is good enough’ and I want every child in my class to fulfil their potential. Seeing the children enjoying all the extra-curricular activities, such as PE and music, is something I am very passionate about and I am proud to be a part of it at The Batt.
I really enjoy leading science across the school, and I love to see and hear about the children discovering and exploring new things.
In my spare time, I play in the Oxfordshire tennis league for a local club, I play netball, I am a member of Witney Road Runners and I love to Park run each week (usually at Witney, but I sometimes go further afield!).
