Our Teacher - Mrs Wills
After an initial career within the childcare sector, I gained a degree in Early Childhood Studies followed by a PGCE. I am now in my twelfth year at St Mary’s and love working with the youngest children in the school. It is amazing how much progress the children make during their reception year, and I feel privileged to start them on their school journey whilst fostering their love for learning. Establishing relationships with parents and carers is also an important aspect of my role and it is wonderful when I can teach siblings and continue to work alongside families.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading and going out for walks in the countryside. I frequently borrow my neighbour’s dog for company and have two cats of my own. During holidays I like to head north, either to visit my family in Yorkshire or to visit one of my favourite areas, The Lake District.
