We understand that Wrap Around Care is important to support the needs of our families. Breakfast and After School Clubs are run by Dominic Baker, an external provider, at The Batt School site. Dom also works a a sports coach and Teaching Assistant at The Batt, so children also become familiar with him as a member of school staff.
The clubs use the Batt school hall and grounds for their activities.
For the convenince of parents we run a walking bus between Breakfast Club and St Mary's in the morning and St Mary's and the After School Club in the afternoon (staffed by some of our Teaching Assistants) - meaning children attending the St Mary's site can access this wrap around care.
Booking Forms can be found below and payment should be made directly to the provider. Fees are included on the form.
If you wish your child to use the walking bus, then please contact the school office for information of how to arrange this.
Parents can choose between a 7.40am or 8.00am drop off for breakfast club and children are provided with a nutritious breakfast, including a range of cereals as well as toast with various preserves and spreads alongside fruit juices or milk. On Fridays there is a treat day with bacon rolls or sausage (inc. veggie option) in a bun.
The children will have the opportunity to play various board or other games and have the opportunity to draw or take part in art and craft activities before they head off to St Mary's via the walking bus at 8.30 or classes at The Batt at 8.45am.
After School Club runs from the end of the school day until 5.30pm every evening. The club is very much targeted at what the children would like to do after a more prescriptive day at school. Some like to take part in arts, crafts and games, whereas others like to keep active, building dens or taking part in various sports. At 4pm all children are offered a healthy snack and drink to keep them going until they are picked up.
