I always knew I wanted to work with children and become a teacher, the joy I gain by watching the children grow and love the adventure of learning is the reward of being a teacher. I had my challenges in school myself and wanted to make children’s experiences more enjoyable. I joined The Batt three years ago after finishing my PGCE. My previous experience started in private nurseries and then onto a Nursery within a school setting where I completed my degree and then the Early Years Teachers qualification. I am very passionate how children learn and feel that children learn best through active learning. I love my Ladybird families each year and even when they move up the years, I love seeing their progress develop further.
In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family, including my two daughters, and friends. I enjoy growing my own fruit and vegetables and can spend hours up at the allotment. I enjoy a good theatre trip and enjoy going with friends and family. If I am stuck inside or unwell, a good dancing session in the kitchen with my children really cheers me up.
